Twenty-nine acupuncture trials were conducted to test the efficacy on postoperative, chemotherapy-induced, and pregnancy-induced nausea, and concluded that acupuncture was significantly superior to placebo, comparison treatments, and no treatment. A second analysis of the 12 highest quality studies representing 2000 patients found a statistically significant effect for P6 stimulation.
